Michael Coan is a native of Vallejo and a life-long resident of Solano County.  He graduated from St. Patrick’s - St. Vincents High School in Vallejo and went on to attend Solano Community College where he played baseball and obtained his AA Degree.  Michael then went on to graduate from Sonoma State University with a Bachelor of Arts in History.  He continued his education when he attended Empire Law School in Santa Rosa where he received his Juris Doctorate in Law.

After law school Michael worked for twenty- three years at a Solano County law firm before joining Medic Ambulance in 2022.  Michael has always been involved and given back to his community throughout his professional career.  He has served as the Chairman of the Vallejo Chamber of Commerce and Chairman of its Government Affairs Committee, where he dedicated his time to creating partnerships between business and labor for the Vallejo community.  Michael was recognized as the Vallejo Man of the Year in 2013 by the Vallejo Chamber of Commerce.  Michael also served as a Trustee for the Sutter Solano Hospital Foundation for several years.

Michael has also given back to the community of Fairfield by serving as the past chairman of the City of Fairfield Planning Commission where he served a four-year term. In addition, Michael served on the Cordelia Tri-Valley Little League Board of Directors for five years which he served as the President of the Board for three of those years.

Michael continues to serve as Trustee and on the Board of Directors for the Tim and Jeannie Hamann Foundation, a foundation that raised money to help those battling cancer.
