Disaster Response Ready
Medic is a recognized regional leader in surge protection, equipped to respond to both predictable surge events and large-scale, sudden disasters, including major multiple casualty incidents at the local, regional, or state level. Our enhanced response capabilities stem from significant investments in infrastructure, disaster assets, advanced employee training, and cutting-edge communication technology.
To support long-term mass casualty incidents, Medic maintains a range of scalable, disaster-capable resources, including a Mobile EMS Command Center, a Special Operations Vehicle, and a Medic Mass Casualty Transportation Response Bus, ensuring readiness and resilience in any emergency.
Expanding EMS Care
Medic Ambulance is enhancing emergency medical services in Solano County by implementing expanded scope practices for paramedics. Through collaboration with Solano County's Emergency Medical Services Agency, Medic introduced new protocols and comprehensive paramedic training programs. Traditionally managed by critical care nurses, paramedics now receive specialized training to handle continuous medication infusions and high-flow nasal cannula devices, streamlining patient transfers and reducing reliance on limited RN resources.
Since the expanded scope launch, there has been a notable reduction in transport delays, improved hospital patient flow, and more efficient use of resources—ensuring patients receive timely, high-quality care. This initiative marks a significant step forward in modernizing EMS capabilities to meet evolving community needs.
